Smokeless Coal

Smokeless coal is designed to emit less smoke than traditional coal. It has been on the market for over 50 years and has evolved to become a very efficient solid fuel that is perfect for burning and producing heat with 80% less smoke and 25% less carbon dioxide (compared to traditional house coal). Generally manufactured by combining traditional coal with waste biomass and binding agents, all smokeless coals on the market are regulated by The Clean Air Act 1993.
